Note on data transfers to the USA
Our website integrates tools from companies based in the USA. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We point out that the USA is not considered a safe third country under EU data protection law. US companies may be obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities, without you being able to take legal action. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence services) process, evaluate, and store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object to processing in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THOSE PROVISIONS. THE RELEVANT LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING IS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO SUCH PROCESSING, INCLUDING PROFILING TO THE EXTENT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. This right is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract delivered to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.

SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content (e.g., orders or inquiries), this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
If SSL/TLS encryption is activated, data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Access, erasure, and rectification
Within the scope of applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this and other questions on personal data, you can contact us at any time using the address in the Legal Notice.

Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address in the Legal Notice. The right to restriction applies in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of verification, you have the right to request restriction of processing.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you may request restriction instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, you may request restriction instead of erasure.
  • If you have objected pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of interests must be carried out. Until it is determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of processing.
  • If processing has been restricted, such data shall—apart from storage—only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude cookies for certain cases or in general, as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. • User agent of the end user’s browser
  • The URL of the provider
  • An anonymous, random, encrypted key
  • The user’s permitted cookies (cookie status) as proof of consent
The encrypted key and cookie status are stored in a cookie on the user’s device to restore the corresponding status on future visits. This cookie deletes itself after 12 months.
Further information can be found in Cookiebot’s Privacy Policy: https://www.cookiebot.com/de/privacy-policy/
You can prevent collection and processing by Cookiebot by disabling script execution in your browser or installing a script blocker.

Processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where obtained.
Data entered in the contact form remains with us until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose of storage ceases to apply (e.g., after completing your request). Mandatory statutory provisions—particularly retention periods—remain unaffected.

Longer retention may also take place if you have given consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if legal retention obligations prevent deletion.

Data processing by social networks
We maintain public profiles on social networks. The specific networks are listed below. With the collected data, portal operators can create user profiles containing your preferences and interests and display interest-based advertising inside and outside the network—across devices if you have or had an account.
Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations of the portals. For details, please refer to the terms and privacy policies of the respective portals.

Legal basis
Our social media presences aim to ensure the broadest possible online presence (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The analysis processes initiated by social networks may be based on different legal bases specified by the operators (e.g., consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Joint controllership and exercising your rights
When you visit one of our social media presences (e.g., Facebook), we and the platform operator are joint controllers for the data processing triggered by your visit. You may exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, complaint) both against us and the respective operator. Please note that despite joint controllership, we do not have full influence on the operators’ processing operations; our options depend on each provider’s policies.

Storage period
Data collected directly by us via our social media presence is deleted from our systems when the purpose no longer applies, you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the storage purpose no longer applies. Cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. We have no influence on the storage periods of data stored by network operators for their own purposes.
